Mapika — Privacy Policy

Mapika ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application for tracking visited countries, cities, and regions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Data Stored Locally

All travel data (visited countries, cities, regions, dates, and settings) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not transmit this data to any server.

1.2 Subscription Data

If you subscribe to Mapika Premium, your purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use Adapty to verify subscription status. Adapty may collect anonymous identifiers to manage subscriptions. See Adapty's Privacy Policy.

1.3 Advertising Data

Mapika displays rewarded video advertisements via Google AdMob for non-premium users. AdMob and its mediation partners may collect:

Device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
IP address (for approximate location and fraud prevention)
Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
App interaction data (ad views, clicks)

This data is used to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. See Google's Privacy Policy.

1.4 Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to improve app stability. No personal data is included in crash reports.

2. Ad Personalization and Consent

We use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before collecting data for ad personalization, in compliance with:

GDPR (European Economic Area): You will be shown a consent dialog on first launch.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) (iOS): You will be asked for permission before your IDFA is accessed.

You can choose to see personalized or non-personalized ads. You may change your preference at any time through your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide core app functionality (tracking visited places)
To verify premium subscription status
To display rewarded video ads (non-premium users only)
To improve app stability through crash reporting

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:

Google AdMob — for ad serving (non-premium users)
Adapty — for subscription verification
Firebase — for crash reporting
Apple / Google — for in-app purchase processing

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of personalized advertising
Withdraw consent at any time

Since travel data is stored only on your device, deleting the app removes all local data.

6. Children's Privacy

Mapika is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
